The Healthy and Well kids in Iowa (HAWK-I) program is an initiative by the state of Iowa to provide health care coverage for kids in families with low income. The program aims at making sure that all residents of Iowa have access to quality healthcare regardless of whether they can afford it or not.

In order to qualify for the Healthy and Well Kids Iowa program one needs to meet a set of eligibility requirements. These eligibility requirements include:
- The applicant must be below 19 years of age
- The applicant should not have other health insurance coverage
- The applicant should be a citizen of US, or a legal alien
- Individuals who qualify for Medicaid cannot qualify for HAWK-I
