LIHEAP Application Instructions


In order to apply for Nevada EAP, you can either apply online or download an application.

Apply Online: you can you can apply online for Nevada EAP through ACCESS Nevada website. ACCESS Nevada provides easy online application process for applying to various benefits in Nevada including EAP.

Apply by Mail: To apply for Nevada EAP through mail, you can download an application using this link. You can also download application in Spanish here. Fill the application after reading instructions carefully and attach the following with your application before sending it:

  • Identification

  • Citizen verification

  • Proof of residence

  • Proof of income

  • A copy of previous heating bills

  • A copy of previous cooling bills

  • And any other documents that may be necessary to prove your eligibility


Eligibility Requirements


In order to receive Nevada LIHEAP benefits, you will have to meet program eligibility criteria.

  • You must be a U.S citizen or a legal alien

  • You must be a resident of state of Nevada

  • You must need financial aid to meet your home energy costs

  • Your household income must be within the limits defined by the program

Income Eligibility

If you are looking to qualify for EAP / LIHEAP in Nevada, you will have to meet the following income requirements.

You can add $5,940 for each additional person in the household in case of more than eight people living in the household.

If a person in your household is already receiving benefits through Supplemental Nutritional Income Program (SNAP), Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or certain other benefits, you will automatically qualify meet income guidelines for the program.
