Eligibility Requirements


In order to qualify for the Nebraska Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), applicants need to meet a set of eligibility requirements. These program eligibility requirements are divided into:

  • Residential eligibility requirements

  • Participation in other social service program

Nebraska Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP)-Residential Eligibility Requirements

In order to qualify for the Nebraska Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), applicants must be residents of the state of Nebraska and US nationals or registered legal aliens.

Participation in Other Social Service Programs

Applicants to the Nebraska Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), who are currently participating in other social service programs such as SSI, AID for families with children, TANF and, LIHEAP are considered automatically eligible. This is due to the fact that these programs share the same eligibility requirements as the Nebraska Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP).
