WAP Application Instructions
In order to apply for Minnesota WAP, you can use any of these methods.

Apply through mail: You can apply through mail by downloading relevant application here (www.mn.gov/commerce/energy/Household-Appl-Forms). After completing the application, you can mail it to your local WAP provider.

Apply in person: You can also apply in person for WAP by visiting your local WAP provider. You can find your nearest WAP provider by using this link.

Ask for an application by calling WAP: You can also have an application mailed to you directly by calling 1-800-657-3710.
Eligibility Requirements
In order to receive benefits through Minnesota WAP, you will need to meet the following requirements.

You will have to be resident of Minnesota

You will have to be the person responsible for paying energy costs of your household

Your energy costs should be high compared to household income

You must meet income eligibility guidelines for the program
Income eligibility
Households will need to have their annual and 3-month income within these limits.

If there are more than 10 people in your household, then you can add $7,920 to your annual income to find out your income limits for WAP.
