WIC Application Instructions


In order to apply for the Idaho WIC you need to find a local WIC clinic, available on the following link: www.healthandwelfare.idaho.gov/localclinics. You can schedule an appointment with your local clinic.

Before going to your appointment at the local Idaho WIC clinic you should remember to carry important verification documents, such as driver's license, or any government issued ID card and your social security number. During the appointment trained Idaho WIC staff will conduct a health screening on all the family members and ask you a set of questions aimed at determining your eligibility to the program. If successful you will be contacted and will immediately start enjoying the benefits of Idaho WIC.

Eligibility Requirements

In order to benefit from the Idaho WIC program, you need to meet a specified set of eligibility requirements. These requirements are divided into categorical, residence and income eligibility requirements.

Categorical Eligibility Requirements

In order to eligible for the Idaho WIC programs you must fall in the three categories of women, Infants, and children. In addition to this, you must meet the specific requirements for each category. Women applicants must be pregnant, breast feeding, or must have a newly born child less than one year of age or should have an infant or child of up to five years of age.

Residence Eligibility Requirements

In order to qualify for the Idaho WIC program you need to be a US citizen or legal alien and be a resident of the state of Idaho.

Nutritional Risk Requirement
