Eligibility Requirements


In order to qualify for the Alabama Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), applicants need to meet a set of eligibility requirements. These eligibility requirements are based on the household income, area of residence and the applicant’s participatory status in other social service programs and are highlighted below:

Alabama WAP- Income Eligibility Requirements

In order to qualify for the Alabama Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP), applicants need to have an income that is either equal to or less than the specified program income maximum depending on the applicant’s household size. Alabama Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) - Residential Eligibility Requirements

Applicants to the Alabama Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) must either be residents of the state of Alabama and Us citizens or registered legal aliens.

Participation in Other Social Service Program

Applicants to the Alabama WAP who are receiving financial assistance from Aid for Families with children or are participating in other social service programs are considered automatically eligible.
