Unemployment Application Instructions

Office of Employment and Training provides online application for filing a UI claim. You can access online application by visiting this link.

Enter your Social Security Number and 4-digit PIN to sign in to the application system. You can create a new user account by clicking 'New User' at the bottom if you haven't already created an account. You can also reset your PIN from login page by clicking 'Forgot Your PIN'.

The internet claim system isn't available 24/7 in Kentucky. You can only file your claims online between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm from Monday through Friday and between 10:00 am and 9:00 pm on Sunday.

Getting Help to File UI Claim Online

In case you have any issues completing UI claim application, you should contact Call Center by dialing 502-875-0442. If this doesn't help or you need one-on-one assistance, please contact your nearest Kentucky Career Center. You can locate your nearest Career Center by visiting this link.

Managing your UI Benefits Online

Once you have filed your initial claim for UI benefits, you will need to go back to the online system twice a week and submit bi-weekly claims. You can access Unemployment Online system here.

You will need to file bi-weekly claims continually for as long as you are eligible for UI benefits. If you are unable to file claim using the online system, you can dial 877-369-5984.
